Hour of Code 2019

 

This week students and staff are taking part in the Hour of Code. At lunchtime and during class lessons students have been exploring the different ways to code, both offline and digitally.

Building

The T4 Minecraft builders are well underway.

Busy building, there was lots of excited chatter but this photo doesn't show it.

Today Isiah used his drone to school to see our school from above.

Minecraft Club Term 4

We have a new group of builders and crafters this term. We got straight down to building, including bridges, boats underwater house. We even thought to build some safety rails on the bridges.

Busy crafting, the chatter was really good today. 

Synchronised Drone flying

Today we coded the drones to fly together. Our goal is to put on a display for the school.

Lift off

We had fun flying the drones for the first time a few days ago. There were a few crashes but luckily the Airblock drones just fall apart.  Next week we are going to develop our abilities to to use coding to develop a series of flying events.

Today we made a hovercraft and had a go at coding the controllers.

Angels Flying club

Today we started our Angles Flying club. Although we didn't actually fly our Airblock drones we did set them up and code the lights.

Steam Extravaganza 2018
